Acadia and Brian

Oh, what a wonderful day! I definitely felt like family being at this wedding! I had already knew so many of the people in attendance because I was many a couples photographer as well! Feeling like a member of the family is ULTRA important to me- which is why I emphasize to all couples that I meet that I will not just be your photographer- I will pin flowers, bustle dresses, help clean stains, get the head table drinks- etc......I want to feel loved too!!!!!!!!!
The ceremony took place at the home where the bride grew up- with sprawling wheat fields and lots of land. Talk about attention to detail- this couple went above and beyond in that department- they definitely defined their theme! This September 7Th day was stunning with a cool breeze that made beautiful hair flowing in the photos!
After the ceremony, guests wandered over to the chuck wagon for old school appetizers while we were taking more photos.
The reception, held at the Washtenaw Country Club was a beautiful place with lots of windows (like most country clubs) and a gorgeous outdoor patio. I love sitting with the guests for dinner- I meet so many new people- and this day was no different-new friends! The cake- an amazing creation- was created by another one of my past brides- Amanda from Queen of Hearts Bakery. Her cakes are always amazing looking and tasting, and I would HIGHLY recommend her to EVERYONE!

Thanks you guys- you know I have mad love for ya now and always!!!!!!!!! xoxoxoxoxo

Oh my goodness! You are not only an amazing photographer, but an amazing person as well! We received the album over the weekend (just in time for Thanksgiving family functions) and I happened to be home alone at the moment. The dogs and I looked through the album over and over and cried. (Well I did, the dogs not so much.) I cannot say enough how nice it is to know that the EMOTIONS of the day are right there on film for eternity. Not just the formal 'kiss the bride' moments but the private glances as well. I was struck by how many photos made me think 'that really looks like her' or that's the same proud look my sister gave me at graduation... family jokes, our personalities, our joy and excitement... all of it captured on paper in front of me. I knew you were great after seeing Amanda and Lisa's photos... but you exceeded our expectations by leaps and bounds. I can tell you, its not every day that someone manages to capture an 'uncle skunkle' smile on film. (In fact, I hadn't seen a photo like that until now.) I suppose I could write forever about how over-joyed we were by the whole process. You mentioned in your post wanting to feel like a part of the family, and you do! I was so comfortable, relaxed, and uninhibited in front of you, and it is clear from all of the natural looks you caught on the faces of our friends and family that we all felt the same way. Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU! I'll be calling soon to book a date for our vow renewal! (These wedding things are WAY to fun to only do once!) Thanks again... Acadia and Brian
